One Response to St John’s RV Park

We stayed here because of it’s proximity to I-95; Turned out to be a mistake. The park itself was probably a nice campground at one time. However, time has taken it’s toll and management has not kept up. The bathrooms were deplorable, even for a campground. We found 2 washing machines and 1 dryer in the laundry that worked and they were both filthy.
The ‘free’ cable and wi-fi are nearly non-existent. Snowy picture on what few channels they offered and wi-fi that keeps dropping you. The 50 amp plug appeared to be really loose and the box it was mounted in was tie-wrapped to the post.
The dog run needed mowing badly as the grass was almost a foot tall. Within that tall grass were numerous fire ant mounds so you had to be extra cautious you didn’t stumble upon one. There were fire ant mounds in nearly every piece of grass on the property.
The continuous odor of sewage (we assumed it was coming from the lift station housed right nearby) made it unpleasant to sit outdoors. There are no functioning tables on the sites nor any grills. No fire rings as no fires are permitted.
Heavy vehicle traffic all hours of the day and night driving within 5 feet of your coach in the pull thru sites. Turns out this is the back entrance to the flea market next door.
And the flea market front entrance crosses the entrance to the park. So, that ‘easy’ entrance was quite difficult to exit due to all the traffic that blocked drive. A challenge in a car but in a coach crossing four lanes?
