We love Ole Bull! 6th year there. Great quiet family place, but works for young and old. Kids can safely bike the circular road, go to beach, play in open spaces and on volleyball sand court. Black bears were a bit of trouble when crowds were low mid-week 8/1-8/3/11, but just wanted the campers leftovers in garbage bags left around. Always meet excellent friendly folk (especially from Connecticut!) and workers/rangers always have time to smile and chat. Bathrooms are awesome! Water is drinkable at fountains, has nice kitchen dish cleanup area with motion-detecting lighting near bathrooms and has a beach-front foot wash. Spotted water snake, large toad, birds and hawks around around. We recommend the twisty-road drive for all. Don’t miss out on Cherry Springs star gazing especially at a new moon and nearby elk herds. Remember Kettle Creek is very low in summer months – come other times for tubing or canoeing. Enjoy!
