My wife and I visited The Grove June 21-24 and stayed in the cabins. We probably spent an hour walking the park like grounds and enjoyed the trail up the creek–Great private photo spot–Great for glamour photography!

There were pool volleyball games several times throughout Satrurday afternoon. I played four games and the qualty of play was variable–but what fun–I haven’t Played like that in several years. There were small groups of campers or residents who seemed to have deck parties going on around the park–We got invited to three different parties for dinner or drinks–an unusually hospitable group–We were welcomed at the two parties we made for dinner/cook-outs and made acquaintances with at least a dozen couples–hard to do that at most parties.

Friday and Saturday evenings there was music poolside, but it was never loud and smoking is
now restricted. has been banned within the club house and inside dance area.

There was a lot of naughty, enthusiastic dancing–pole and oterwise and we met a couple at the dance who were fellow runners and we went jogging with them on Sunday morning after partying at their place.

There were over eighty pool lounge chairs–I’m a little OCD–but almost all were in use or claimed with a towel, but we had carried our own lounge chairs–and I would suggest that to othere.

We had a blast and are returning mid-July, but camping this time as the campers seemed to have so much fun–The grounds are nice and maintained. BYOB–saved us a bunch over being forced to buy from the resort bar where we used to go.

Would recommend it to non-drama nudists, etc.

My lady went in July on a Sat in 2010.

    First the good

We like the freedom of the nudity and the lifestyle.

It was nice to walk around nude up and down the streets in almost small town.

    The Bad.

The thing that turned off the most ( and I have been a mobil DJ for over 20 years) was the LOUD over 125 db music at the pool side from first the band till 5p. Any thing over 85 db leads to hearing loss.

Then next the LOUD radio over the pa system at the pool side for the next few hours. Then around 8pm some guy turned on a portable DJ setup again by the pool with the mid range all the way up and again LOUD over 125 db. I lowered the volume and adjusted eq when he stepped away and 5 couples thank me.

He came back and crank it up to LOUD again even after a a large # of couples ask him to lower it.

The indoor dance club opens at 9p and guess what more loud music from a different DJ and after asking him to turn it down, he did but 5 minutes latter he turns it back up. We went there to meet people but the whole time we could not because of the volume levels of the music.I have played many clubs my self over the years and I know what volume levels to use so people can converse and not have there hearing damage.

The swing house does not open till 11pm, don’t know why.

Smokers are allowed everywhere by the pool area no separation from them for people who value there health.

The showers and the chairs by the pool were so dirty even with a towel you were afraid to sit on them.

80% of the people were obese or morbidly obese and half of them of course smoked,Age range 25 to 70.

The place has potential but needs improvement. I would not go back.
