I discovered this campground in 1992 because all other campgrounds were full. I have never been to another camp ground since. My girlfriends and I have been coming here for our annual camp and tube get away for 10+ years. The best part is the actual camp sites. You can’t see them from the road because they are part of the forest. They are huge, secluded, have a picinic table and never far from the bathroom. The rates are great and the people are nice. Just call ahead first to make sure there are no special events happening in the area because the rates go up and these events can be very loud. Lake Waveland gets and A+ from me and the girls.

This was my first time at Lake Wakeland. I chose to camp here for a tubing trip on Sugar Creek so I figured I would pull the boat along just in case I find the time. Turned out to be a trip saver! It rained every night and morning we were there so the tubing got canceled due to water hazards Went out Friday evening for a few hours and realized this was a pretty small lake (380 acres) not to have a H.P. restriction. Ended up with four 14-15 inchers on a crankbait. Since the tube trip was cancelled I decided to give it another wack Saturday Night. I fished for Bass and my partner fished for gills and redear. Awesome fishing I have to say. Had I been fishing a tourney I think I could have won it with a six fish bag that would have gone around 20lbs. A few on the crank and the rest came on a texas rigged chigger craw. All and all this is a great Lake to fish and a good place to camp with or without the family.

Hello im looking for prices and to find out if you do seasonal camper sites. Ive tried ever spit i could on this page and it redirects tou to a banks page. Even if you try to click on the phone number or facebook page. We have a few campers if the group and were now looking for a new seasonal place to park our campers and spend great times with our families. Lake waveland is were we do the majority of our fishing and it would be awsome to be able to spend more time camping and fishing there instead of so much time pulling campers to and from. Please get back tto me
