Chatfield State Park Details

Campers have their choice of 197 campsites all with electrical hookups and many with full hookups (water, sewer and electric), in four campgrounds at Chatfield State Park. All campsites are within walking distance to the lake and have picnic tables and grills. Facilities include flush toilets, hot showers, laundry, centrally located water, fire ring and a sanitary waste station.  In addition to the 197 single-family campsites offered at Chatfield, there are ten reservable Group Camping sites available.  Please call the Park Office at (303) 791-7275 for more information or to reserve a Group campsite.

Starting November 1, the only loop open for camping will be D-Loop (sites 154-197).  D-Loop will be on a first- come, first- serve basis.  Camping reservations are not accepted during the winter season for these sites.  D-loop is a full service camping loop (sewer, electric and centrally located water). The water hookups will be turned off between October 15 and October 31. The RV dump station will remain open year round for potable water and emptying holding tanks. Please check the fees page for prices.  D-loop has restrooms, showers and laundry facilities which will remain open through the winter camping season.  All loops will reopen for camping April 1.

Chatfield State Park has 10 group campsites with electrical hookups. There are four electrical pedestals at each group site.  Each site accommodates up to 36 people and twelve camping units. No more than 4 units can use the electrical hook-ups. Showers and restrooms are located in the group area.  No amplified sound systems, including amplified musical instruments are allowed in the group camping area.
