One Response to Battle Ground Lake State Park

I love this campground. It’s about 10 or so minutes off the freeway and close to the town of Battleground. Campsites are spaced apart nicely and the RV hookups are all pull-through sites with alot of privacy. some cabin sites also have hookups with pull-throughs so you can double up with a friend. Odd numbered sites 9-15 have a lake view (some are cabins). try to get sites on the perimeter as they are more private. The cabins are not as cute as those at other campgrounds. They are not log cabins; they have linoleum floors and flourescent lighting, but they are all wheelchair accessible. The negatives: children under age 4 are not allowed in the lake, the bathrooms could be cleaner, and it’s too bad the outdoor shower by the lake is not working. There is a nice picnic area near the playground and you can reserve a shelter here for large groups. Also there is alot of lawn by the picnic area and a volleyball net. Overall, it has everything you need (campsites, lake, trails, swim area, playground, snack shack) and none of the things you don’t (noise, motorboats).
