What a change since new owners. Gail and Don ran a tight and organized ship! Now there is partying all the time, unsanitary conditions and rate increases. Lots of seasonals pulled out this year with good reason. I think more will follow suit this next year. Awful.

We just got back from this”hell hole” Bathrooms were disgusting and not cleaned for almost 24 hrs. Luckily nobody broke their neck with all the mud and water on the floors with tons of toilet paper on it. We heard the old owners of the campground sold the campground to 5 different owners. The lake is full of weeds so they get around your legs which is just grose! The docks are really too close together for your boat which we found out the hard way! Also, heard if you plan on bringing your boat next year, you will have to pay an additional charge just to put your boat in the water from the campgrounds landing. Apparently $ 50 is not enough more for a site for them.! Never go back!

were you at the right campground? seems to me ,that everytime I went into the bathroom there was usually someone there cleaning it…unclean bathrooms usually mean people who don’t respect the sorroundings….guess you can’t please everyone no matter how hard you try…we however are looking forward to going back next year… esapecially for the entertainment..which was a great addition this year.. good work to the staff.. who tried very hard to make everyones stay an enjoyable one…

I’m curious when you stayed at Barrington Shores. Vanessa is right the bathrooms were not kept up on Labor Day weekend. The holdiday weekend meant that there were a greater number of campers using the bathrooms, should have upped the cleaning schedule.

Vannessa is correct about the campground, ive been going there for over 10 yrs every yearand was thinking of going seasonal. the new managment is not doing a good job mainataining the campground.
Many seasonals are leaving next year with dock increases and they allow car loads in to use the beaches, this has prompted everyone to lock the campers when going out. Granted they do try with the entertainment but the camping experience has gone away. they will try to sell you on weekend packages and how they plan to make money.
if a family owns a campground its a family campground.enough said

We were camping in a tent, and had neighbors with noisy kids. The campsites are quite small, and we were kept up by the kids until far past the 11 pm quiet-hour. Even after cell calls to the campground office, they were unable to quieten the kids, and we did not sleep well. After talking with the owner the next day, the policy apparently does not include laughing or conversation. So, if you’re in a tent, hope that your neighbors are respectful. We left early and will not come back.
