I would not recommend this place. Its mostly full of permanents and semi-permanents who are not nice, nor quiet. We had the misfortune of asking the old ladies at the pond entrance to turn their blaring music down, who in turn turned it up even more. There is no quiet ordinance here is my guess, or nobody enforces it. Bark river is ankle deep in this area most of the summer, not a good location for fishing or swimming. The pool is shallow and tiny, and again run over by permanents. What they advertise as a “fishing / swimming pond” is a black, murky, weedy nasty pond that appears to not have been dredged for quite some time. And the cottonwoods are seeding all over it. I wouldn’t fish there, let alone swim! Its gross!

If your a weekend camper with family, Do Not Camp Here! The web site is very misleading. At least 97% of this campground are residents. When you pull into the campground the first thing you see are trailers that are rotting and look like they have been there for at least 20 years. Yes the site tells you that they have a pool/kiddie water park, but they don’t tell you that you have to pay $2.50 per person each time you want to use it. They do have a playground, but it is full of old rummage sale play sets that are pulled apart and thrown all over the place, oh and if you want your children to play at the playground, watch out for the residents kids which like to bully and rule the place. Another thing they do not tell you is you cannot have any glass containers on the premises. We did not know this and brought glass containers that we had to hide and drink from a plastic cup. We could not wait to get out of there. We felt so uncomfortable that we could not relax. Please heed my warning and don’t visit this campground!
